It's been awhile..

Well, it's been a hot minute since I have written; tons of things have happened. It's been almost two months since my last posting. Let's see. I have seen Luke Bryan again, finally met my best guy friend after like 10 years!, gained a roommate, and took a huge positive step in my life.


Alright. Luke! I took a trip to Louisville KY at the end of August to see Lance and Luke. It was my first road trip as a single woman and I loved it. Nothing but me and the road. I made it to my hotel in Indiana waited for Lance to pick me up. We had dinner at Cheddars and then made our way to the KY State Fair. We got there about 3-4 hours early, but it was SO worth it. We had awesome seats. 5th row! AHHH! Luke was RIGHT.THERE. lol We were pleasantly greeted with Scotch Tape guy and his friend who bought me a beer :) 


After the concert, we had our own mini hour plus concert in the parking lot due to the congestion getting out of the there. We blared and sang to Reba, NSYNC, Christmas music.. it was so much fun. It was then Lance took me to my first gay bar to meet some of his friends. Afterwards, we went to my first gay club. I then hit the hay around 3am and then the road back home around 9am. Needless to say, I didn't get a lot of sleep! lol


Lance and I had a great time.. I can't wait til we meet up again. We were supposed to go see Reba this weekend, but we couldn't get tickets. 


Shauna and I have been roommates for the past month, with her living on my couch in my one bedroom apartment. We just put in our application this week for the place we are wanting to move to, and we should know something tomorrow! And hopefully hear about her job tomorrow too. So fingers crossed everyone. It's been so much fun having her here. I know she'll be happy to have her own room again though lol But she did get a shelf in the bathroom and that made her happy lol


I have started back to school as well. I'm taking a photography class, and I LOVE it. It's so much fun and I'm learning a lot. I recently did some maternity shots for a friend at work and they are turning out great! Now we just need a name for our business so we can get this ball rolling! It's been a LONG time since I've found something I really like doing.. and I'm so glad I was able to go back. I was scared at first, but now I laugh at that. I'm the youngest by like 15 years in my class and I'm okay with that.


And finally, if you had asked me a year ago I would be this happy, I wouldn't have believed you. I also wouldn't have believed you if you said I would be somewhat 'friends' with the current girlfriend  either. But last week I was trying to be nice and it was misinterpreted as 'ganging up' and that was certainly not the case. I realized a while ago that it was time to just get over it and put things to rest. So,  I requested her friendship on Facebook, not to stalk or keep tabs, but to put the past as the past and hopefully be civil to one another. I'm not crazy enough to think we'll be friends and hang out, but I don't want things to be weird when we see each other out in town or at a birthday party for one of the kids. 


So we'll see how this goes, as it is both new to both us since I've never been an ex wife before and don't really know how this works. 


I'm looking forward to going to a haunted house this season, guilt free. And I can't wait!
